As a journalism graduate, I have had a number of work experiences to enhance my skills as an aspiring writer. Below is an account of the work experiences that I have taken part in over the past few years, as well as a collection of work that I produced during my times there.
In July 2010 I underwent a two week’s work placement at my local newspaper, the Newark Advertiser. During this time I wrote news copy in the office, set up interviews over the phone, and went out with a photographer reporting on local stories.

In May 2011 I underwent a two week’s work placement at Stranger Collective, a copywriting agency based in Penryn, Cornwall. During this experience, I spent time in the office researching and writing my own stories, writing reviews, editing copy, transcribing interviews, and carrying out competitor research.

I was later asked to work with the company on a monthly basis, uploading content onto Coca Cola’s website.
