The UK’s TV Viewing Habits At Christmas

With Christmas less than a week away, we’re all looking out for what TV specials and Christmas films are going to be aired this year. With that in mind, Ladbrokes Bingo and OnePoll and have had some great results back from their survey looking at the UK’s Christmas TV viewing habits. Keep on reading to find our their results.

A massive 80% of Brits say they watch TV on Christmas Day. More people watch TV than go see their own family (69%) cook Christmas dinner (54%) or play games (41%).

Doctor Who is the most anticipated show for Christmas 2014 with the majority of respondents saying it is the Christmas Special they are most looking forward to (16% – beating Mrs Brown’s Boys, Miranda, Top Gear and Downton Abbey).

It seems the men and women are in opposite opinions about whether Clara will leave the show this Christmas, as the majority of men said they think Clara will stay, as opposed to the majority of women who think she will leave.

David Attenborough’s Life Stories came out as the favourite with 17% of respondents saying it is the best DVD release for Christmas 2014.
