After a hungover morning in Stockholm and a well needed Subway, we finally made our way to Uppsala, a university town just a little north of Arlanda airport. We didn’t expect much from the town but the atmosphere was so lovely that it quickly became one of our favourite places. The town was very cute, was filled with young, lively people, and mixed city life with culture well. It’s just a shame that the weather was misty and snowing slightly, but the views were still pretty beautiful.
The hostel we were staying at was surprisingly brilliant, and I’d recommend it as a good standard bed and breakfast, not just a cheap place to sleep.
So first off we made our way to Uppsala Castle.
It was quite high up so there was a great view from the top.
A short walk from the Castle was Uppsala Cathedral.
And then we headed into town, which was also lovely.
