(Written for Lost In The Multiplex)
This week we have the brand new trailer for horror/comedy John Dies At The End, which promises to both freak you out and make you fall off your chair with laughter.
Written and directed by Don Coscarelli, the film is an adaptation of David Wong’s novel of the same name.
The new trailer may not make much sense as it is, but that’s because the plot looks at the effects of a drug known as Soy Sauce, which promises users an out-of-body experience with each hit. As users drift across time and dimensions, some people return as no longer human, so can two college dropouts, Dave (Chase Williamson) and John (Rob Mayes), save humankind from this otherworldly invasion? Probably not.
I guess this new footage will make more sense in context of the whole film, but the trailer alone looks pretty damn crazy. Good, but crazy.
Also starring Paul Giamatti, Clancy Brown, Glynn Turman, and Doug Jones, the film is set to be released on 1st February, 2013, and will be available on VOD in the US from 27th December.
