(Written for Lost In The Multiplex)

Actor and comedian Robin Williams hasn’t appeared on the big screen for several years now, but he has recently signed on to star in two feature films – the first in the comedy The Angriest Man in Brooklyn, and the second in the upcoming biopic The Butler.

First up, The Angriest Man In Brooklyn is a comedy about an “obnoxious patient” (Williams) who is mistakenly informed by a medic (Mila Kunis) that he has only 90 minutes to live. What follows are the woman’s desperate attempts to track him down as he embarks on a mission though New York City to right all the wrongs of his life in the prescribed time frame. Directed by Phil Alden Robinson (Field of Dreams), the film also stars Peter Dinklage, Melissa Leo and James Earl Jones, and is set to begin production in September.

And as for his second film, Lee DanielsThe Butler is a biopic about the life of long-time White House servant Eugene Allen, which is set to star Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, Vanessa Redgrave, Terrence Howard, John Cusack, Alan Rickman and Jane Fonda. Williams will be playing the role of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, and will be first on his schedule as it is scheduled to start filming later this month.
