(Written for Lost In The Multiplex)

If you haven’t heard much about this summer’s highly anticipated indie film Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World, or even if you are looking forward to it already, then we have a big treat for you with three new clips, eight new images, a couple of TV spots and a behind-the-scenes featurette released by Focus.

Set to be released in the US this week and later in the UK on 13th July, Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World follows neighbours Dodge (Steve Carell) and Penny (Keira Knightley) who, with only three weeks to live due to an impending asteroid, head out on a trip to find Dodge’s high school sweetheart and Penny’s family.

Directed by Lorene Scafaria (screenwriter of Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist), the film is her directorial debut and looks at the way people react to the news of the world ending, with a cast including Melanie Lynskey, Patton Oswalt, Rob Corddry, Gillian Jacobs, T.J. Miller and many more.

Here’s the bundle of new clips and images for you –

Clip 1 – “Friendsy’s” – pit stop at Friendsy’s where they are greeted by Darcy (T.J. Miller):

Clip 2 – “Dodge” – Roache (Patton Oswalt) gives Dodge advice on being single before the end:

Clip 3 – “Armageddon” – Dodge continues to sell insurance including the Armageddon Package:

The behind scenes featurette then sees commentary from Steve Carell, Keira Knightley, writer-director Lorene Scafaria, about working together and what they would do if the world was actually coming to an end:

The new TV spots look more in depth at the film’s plot:
