Another New Featurette & Host of Images for Season 2 of ‘Game Of Thrones’

(Written for BritScene)

This week we have another new featurette and a whole 17 new images for Season 2 of HBO’s epic series Game Of Thrones, this time discussing the costume design and daily work of the show’s fantastic extras.

The featurette, published on the show’s Facebook page earlier this week, goes behind the scenes of the upcoming season and takes a look at what it’s like to be on the set as an extra.

With commentary by crowd assistant director Colin Azzopardi, wardrobe supervisor Tara Van Zyl, and assistant crowd costume Claire Snoddy, the clip describes the day-in-the-life as an extra, detailing how they start work at 5am, have to spend a day figuring out their costumes, which most are made from scratch, and the important role that they play in the series as a whole.

We also have 17 new images to show you, including that of British actors Michelle Fairley, Lena Headey, Liam Cunningham, Jack Gleeson, Kit Harington, Stephen Dillane, Gethin Anthony, Richard Madden, Sophie Turner, Alfie Allen, Emilia Clarke, Maisie Williams, Patrick Malahide, Issac Hempstead-Wright, and Gwendoline Christiethe.

Based on author George R. R. Martin’s best-selling A Song of Ice and Fire series of fantasy novels, namely the second series around the second novel A Clash of Kings. Set in the medieval fantasy world of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, the series chronicles the violent struggles among the kingdom’s noble families for control of the Iron Throne.

Set to premier on 1st April, here is the new featurette and set of images:
