Ten minutes worth of clips for British actor Robert Pattinson‘s upcoming film, Bel Ami, have been released online this week.

Set to premiere at the Berlin Film Festival this week (17th February), this 1890s Paris based period drama is based on the novel on the same name written by Guy de Maupassant.

Directed by Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod with the screenplay written by Rachel Bennette, Pattinson plays the character of George Duroy, a penniless ex-soldier, as the film chronicles his rise to power through his manipulation of the city’s most influential and wealthy women.

The clips show the beginning of a couple of relationships as he begins to seduce his way to wealth, as he puts the moves on three of his co-stars, Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci, and British actress Kristin Scott Thomas.

After finding an American distributor late last year, the film is set to be released on 2nd March.

Personally I’m a big fan of Pattinson, more so outside of the Twilight Saga with his roles in Remember Me and Water For Elephants, so I’m quite looking forward to this one. But what do you think? See the clips below and judge for yourself.
