Watch The Second ‘Being Human’ Prequel Focusing on Michael Socha

(Written for BritScene)

The second prequel for Season 4 of the award-winning and acclaimed British supernatural drama Being Human has been released this week. This time the video showcases British actor Michael Socha’s werewolf character, Tom, who is being interviewed for a new job as we see flashbacks over the last series when we first met him.

Being Human, which was created by Toby Whithouse, first aired in February 2008 on BBC 3 in the UK. The series focuses on three supernatural beings who share a house together – Aidan Turner as vampire Mitchell, Russell Tovey as werewolf George, and Lenora Crichlow as ghost Annie. Sinead Keenan more recently joined the cast as George’s werewolf girlfriend, and the cast then moved from Bristol to South Wales at the beginning of series three in an attempt to resume their “normal” lives.

The new series deals with the death of Turner’s character at the end of the last series, with Socha playing a bigger part and Damien Molony join the cast as “the new head vampire” named Hal.

I don’t know how I didn’t realise this earlier, but with the release of the first images and prequel for the new series which were released last week, I noticed that Michael was the brother of Lauren Socha, who plays Kelly in the UK series of Misfits. What a brilliant sibling relationship that is.

The new season of Being Human is set to be released at the end of January in the UK, and will premier on 25th February at 9:00pm ET/PT as part of Supernatural Saturday on BBC America. See the very funny new prequel below:
