New Behind-The-Scenes Footage for ‘The Woman In Black’

With the release of the first clip for Hammer Films’ latest horror production, The Woman In Black, earlier this week, CBS Films have now also released a really interesting two behind-the-scenes featurettes. The first titled “Creating A Classic Ghost Story”, looks at what makes a classic, atmospheric horror story, while the second, “Behind The Haunting”, features a number of the stars involved in the movie talking about their experiences on set.

Featuring exclusive interviews from the cast and filmmakers, including British actor Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and director James Watkins (Eden Lake), the video also looks at how writer Jane Goldman (X-Men: First Class), alongside production company Hammer Films, drew inspiration from Susan Hill’s 1983 acclaimed novel of the same name that the film is adapted from.

The film follows Radcliffe as a young lawyer in the 1900s who sets about to uncover the truth of a mysterious ghost set on vengeance dressed all in black. When he travels to a remote English village on further exploration into the village’s secrets, he learns that children there routinely die under mysterious circumstances, and begins to encounter fearful visions of the female figure he was warned about.

The Woman In Black also stars British actors Ciaran Hinds, Janet McTeer, Roger Allam, Tim McMullan, Shaun Dooley, Cathy Sara, David Burke, Victor McGuire, Lucy May Barker, Liz White, and Mary Stockley, and is set to be released on 3rd February.
