Have you ever thought that your typical set of Lego wasn’t quite as exciting as you hoped it could be? Or even tried to imagine some way that it would still be considered okay to play with after coming home from a grown-ups day of work? Well, Flickr user Yatkuu has done just that, with his unique re-imagining of what Shaun of the Dead might look like if it was made from Lego.
The ‘zombie’ genre has always been a popular one with film-makers and cinemagoers alike, with many trying to put their own take on the typically horror genre by crossing it over with comedy, science fiction, thriller, and sometimes even romance.
One of the best of these is Edgar Wright’s horror-comedy Shaun of The Dead from 2004. The film starred Brits Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in the first of the actors’ and director’s ‘Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy’, which was followed-up by Hot Fuzz in 2007 and will conclude with The World’s End which will hopefully begin shooting sometime next year.
So what better way to celebrate the film and the zombie genre as a whole by turning the characters and setting into a Lego toy? Have a look at the impressive images below and see more of Yatkuu’s work here.
