A Refuge For Bees

(This was written for my work placement at Stranger Collective for an article published on Coca Cola’s Live Positively Collective.)

Bees in the UK are dying at an alarming rate. In the past five years, there has been a 90% loss in their numbers, and experts believe that they could be extinct within the next decade.

One in three beehives are now lifeless due to a lack of wild flowers and safe nesting sites. The bees that are left are having to work twice as hard to keep our planet alive with the vital pollination that this buzzing workforce carry out. Our food, clothes and very survival depend on this pollination, but the bees are dying from exhaustion and they need our help.

This cute little Bee Station sits in your flower bed, providing a dry nesting habitat and sugar-water reservoir for these hard-working bees to refuel and get some well deserved R&R.

With the advantages of this resting place, the bees can sleep, feed and procreate in a safe nesting site before heading off for another important day of work.

“Buy a Bee Station, put it in your garden, feel good…”
