Over £1000 has been raised for Beaumond House and Flowserve Ladies Football Club on a charity bike ride last Sunday.
Miss Gemma Streets, 23, of Boundary Road, Newark, is a member of the Flowserve LFC. She organised the bike ride from Newark to Skegness which took place last week.
Flowserve LFC are the only ladies football team in the Newark area. They originally wanted to raise money for their team, but Miss Streets’ grandmother, Jean Streets, recently died.
The Mayor of Ollerton and Boughton dug up the first crop of potatoes at Ollerton Primary School last week.
